Faace searches for buyer as founder announces plans to sell business
Five years after launching skincare brand Faace, founder Jasmine Wicks-Stephens has put the business up for sale.
In a video posted on LinkedIn, Wicks-Stephens explained the reasoning behind her decision to sell the Brighton-based brand, encouraging her network to help her find a suitable buyer.
She said: "I'm selling my business after five years of thinking about Faace every single day. For the last five years, after working full-time hours for free and investing hundreds of thousands of pounds of my own money in this dream, I just can't do it anymore."
Wicks-Stephens continued, emphasising the achievements of the skincare brand, from its award wins and retail partnerships to its success on BBC's Dragon's Den, which saw Faace secure a triple investment from Steven Bartlett, Peter Jones and Touker Suleyman.
She added: "I'm hoping there's an amazing person out there that will want to buy Faace and that will let me play a small role."
Faace was founded in 2019 with a mission to "disrupt the UK beauty industry with its fuss-free, ethical skincare designed to look after your skin when you don’t have the time or energy to do so".
The hormonal skincare brand has since introduced a number of products to its line-up, including those targeting stress, menopause, periods, tiredness and perspiration, which are all available on its own website and stocked at a number of major UK retailers.
Wicks-Stephens hopes the new buyer, whoever that may be, will build on the previous success of Faace as it continues to grow.
